Carey, a former top model in fashion who measured at 5'10" was well-liked by American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. In 1979 in 1979, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists named her dad Scientist of The Year. Carey was a frequent traveler in honor of her father's efforts. After she graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began modeling on the side. It caught the attention of an agent from Ford Model Agency New York. She briefly lived and studied in Paris prior to returning in New York. Her modeling and college career took off and she was featured on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's and many other magazine covers. As she modeled, she continued to study at a full-time level for a literary major within New York University. She became more interested in acting and began taking classes in the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. The actress had a tiny part on Club Paradise with Robin Williams In 1986. When she is not working she likes to ski or windsurfing. She also enjoys climbing mountains and whitewater river rafting.
