Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, is known for playing in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and television. She started her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. The BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she be praised by critics for her performance, but she also received a few awards and nominations. She made her professional acting debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted through her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her performance as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
